Bible Classes are held on Tuesdays from 8:45 to 10:00 am. If you are interested in these once a week classes, just drop in on Tuesday mornings at St. William Family Center. Call Deacon Richard for more information at 815-7885. Book of Acts begins on Tuesday, Sept. 13th (20 Weeks)
Bible Classes will also be held on Sundays at 7:10 pm. These classes will fulfill the Adult Enrichment Experience Requirements for parents of First Communion and Confirmation Students. The Sunday Bible classes will start on Sunday, Sept. 18. For more information and to register, please call the parish office at 241-3249. They will be studying Matthew, The fullfillment of the Kingdom. (24 weeks)
Prayer meetings are held for Adults on Thursdays 7-9 pm. All adults are invited to come for Bible Sharing, Praise and Worship, Sharing and a time of prayer for your own needs and the needs of the church. Call Minnie or Leo Duque at 241-4187 for more information.
Adult Faith Formation Classes in English at St. Mary Mission have started. This is an opportunity for the people to learn more about the Church, the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. For more information call Sr. Isabell @ 241-2833 or Deacon Teo Farias @ 960-3127
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults): If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith and in being able to receive the Sacraments, Please call Deacon Richard Lewinski at 241-8145 for more information and to register. Classes for 2011 will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6th.
Upcoming Events
VIDEO COURSE ON DOGMATIC THEOLOGY By Fr. James Mallon
This course is based on the spiritual lessons (8 Discs) Fr. James learned from "Monsi," his nine year old shepherd mix dog. It will start on Thursday, Feb. 9 and will be held in our parish hall for six consecutive Thursday nights from 6:30 pm to 9 pm concluding with a Retreat using the final two tapes. The only cost is $10, for the Manuel which will help us "To Come To Know God Through Man's Best Friend."
CONVALIDATION CONFERENCE
This 9 am to 5 pm Conference will be held in our St. Matthew hall on March 10, 2012 and is for couples who are married civilly but want their marriage blessed in the Church so they can receive the Sacraments. The cost is $50 per person and this includes lunch and snacks.
CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME
This two hour, once a week program for eight weeks is designed for those who have been away from the Church and wish to "Come Back Home." Deacon Al Cicora and his team will start these "welcome home" sessions on February 23rd (the day after Ash Wednesday) and we pray that many inactive Catholics will avail of this opportunity to renew their Catholic Faith. DANA'S MINI RETREAT
